Join Tony Heare for Rock Mass for one of the best rock shows on Planet Earth. Bringing you the best of commercial rock through the ages and the finest new releases.
Tony grew up with classic British rock in the early Seventies, bands like Purple, Sabbath and Zeppelin.
Deep Purple's 'In Rock' was the album that really got Tony into this type of music and my first real gig was seeing the Coverdale/Hughes version of the band in 1974.
Many years later, after punk and hair metal had come and gone, Tony went to his first festival at Donington in 1991, seeing the likes of Metallica and AC/DC in a live environment. That convinced Tony to try his hand at radio.

Presents: My Generation - Sounds of The 70's - Dark Side of The Moon - Gary Jackson Show.
My Generation - 2 hours from the 60s, This 60s show is probably the world's first ever online 60s show, starting as it did in 1996, and regularly features exclusive interviews with 60s stars such as Dave Clark, Stu Cook (Creedence) and Tom McGuinness (Manfred Mann).
Sounds of The 70'S - 1 hour from the 70s, Just what it says - a show featuring music from a very diverse decade, plus music news from today in the 70s, the "sloppy bit in the middle" and the chart entry song from that week to finish with!
Dark Side of the Moon is a 2 hour Classic, Progressive Rock Show, Gary recalls the days when many tracks lasted for 8 minutes, yet these albums sold in the millions and are rarely heard on radio. Already bringing back some memories for hundreds of thousands! Perfect for fans of Sabbath, Genesis, Led Zeppelin or Floyd!
The Gary Jackson Show is a 2 hours radio show packed with special features. Not for the audience's benefit, but because at his age just staying awake for two hours is tough enough, and every little helps!
Alternatively known as "The Gary Jackson Experience" (Hendrix won't mind) this show is an ideal generic show suitable for either filling in when a regular presenter is off, or as many stations have done, giving it its own slot at a time of week when presenters are hard to come by!
Music from across the eras - from the present day to the "vintage tunes" - two songs in the style of the 40s and 50s, this show has it's own slots in the UK, across Europe and beyond!
Gary started his DJ career back in the days when half a dozen singles from Saturday Night Fever were guaranteed to fill the dance floor. Hospital radio beckoned in the early 1990s before community radio tempted him out of retirement.
He fell in love with beat music in the 60s, and in 1997 he was approached by The Searchers to publish their official website which he does to this day.
Gary writes a monthly sixties column for the Hampshire Chronicle and he also publishes the official websites for his friends The Searchers and The Troggs!
