Dates and information about upcoming roadworks and road closures.

Stow Hill, Newport Closure

 

From 18 October 2020 - October 2021

​

Stow Hill will be closed from the School Lane junction to the junction of the private care park to allow the rebuild of Bethel Temple.

​

Please follow the diversion signs in place.

 

Caerleon Road, Newport Closure

​

Monday 28 September - mid-November 2020

​

Part of Caerleon Road will be closed to allow urgent work to fell a significant number of mature trees affected by Ash dieback disease.

​

Managed access to properties within the closure zone will be allowed. 

Diversion routes for most vehicles will be via New Road, Belmont Hill, Royal Oak Hill, Chepstow Road, Clarence Place, Old Green roundabout and A4042 but heavy vehicles will use the B4236, Ponthir, Llanfrechfa and the A4042.

Blaenau Gwent, Closure

Cwm to Aberbeeg, Works to carriageway, 20/07/20 TO 18/10/20

​

Rhiw Road, Cwm, Ebbw Vale Closure due to remedial works on the A4046 and is not a suitable diversionary route.
